Change in Weather

We didn't make the egg hunt b/c it rained all weekend. We decided it was more for the parents and pictures this year than memories for the boys so we didn't go. We did spend Sunday with my grandparents and the boys were a lot of fun. Church was stressful. They have a small congregation and my grandparents always sit 2 or 3 rows from the front, so that means we do too. Many of you know, normally we take the very back pew with the boys and don't make it through the service 20 min. before we end up putting them in the nursery. All things considered the boys did alright. They had just rode 2 hours in the car so naturally they wanted to get down and run, but they did manage to make it through the service. Tad describes it as "wrestling an earthworm" for how squirmy they were. Everyone was really nice and didn't seem to mind the noise.

My grandmother turns 85 on Sunday. She is a wonderful Christian lady who we admire. She has worked hard in her life and is an example for so many things. We'll miss celebrating with her next weekend b/c we'll be in Missouri for Easter, but we're glad we went now.

We went to the Columbus Zoo yesterday for the first time this season and while we were in the parking lot we ran into 2 teachers I taught with. They too, were just getting there so we ended up having someone to walk around with. The boys loved the tigers. They both started growling at the statues before we found the real thing. Its great to have the zoo 5 minutes away. Last year was a challenge to pack and get out the door with bottles, formula, hot water, etc. This year, we grab extra diapers, juice cups and the stroller and we're off. I'm sure we'll be there lots more. Today the temperatures dropped 30+ degrees and it might snow Friday. Its crazy that we're stuck inside for the rest of the week.

We'll this blog has just rambled about the past few days but at least you know what we're up to. We are having a family Easter Egg hunt with the cousins from Tad's side of the family. Hopefully we'll have some pictures from that and I can post them next week when we get home.

How neat it must be for your boys to know their great grandmother -- what a treat!

Since we moved this past fall, we are closer to the zoo now too. I am thinking of getting a season pass so the boys and I can go a lot this spring & summer!

Have a great Easter and safe travels!

We just got to the point where Frances can make it through a whole church service, so I think you're doing great--I did have a good laugh about Tad analogy! It's been a little crazy here-Brent had ACL surgery last Tues--I didn't realize how much help he was until I didn't have him! Hope to talk to you soon!
